The Feldmühle was built by the Viersen-based Stock company for spinning and weaving in 1864 and was used for a long time. Even today, features of its origin can still be recognized. This gives the property a very special charm.

The vision behind the Feldmühle

Michael Metz, owner of the Feldmühle, was born and raised in the Rahser district of Viersen. Since taking over the Feldmühle in 2014, he has been renovating and refurbishing the property. It is important to him that the charm of the over 150-year-old Feldmühle is retained while still incorporating modernity. This is what makes the Feldmühle such a unique business park.

The human element is particularly important to Michael, so he always listens to his tenants and tries to accommodate all their requests. This is why Feldmühle is not just an ordinary business park, but a vibrant, open, and mutually supportive community of entrepreneurs.

Michael went to the Albertus Magnus Grammar School and then completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer. After a week-long backpacking trip through India, he began his studies at the FH Aachen, which he successfully completed as a civil engineer. This was followed by a interesting time in the construction industry.
