The Feldmuehle was built by the Viersener Stock company for spinning and weaving in 1864 and used for a long time. Even today, features of its origin can still be recognised. This gives the property a very special charm.

Michael Metz, owner of the Feldmuehle, was born and raised in the Rahser district of Viersen. Together with his dog Scott, the Feldmuehle's MaSCOT, he runs and lives the Feldmuehle. Since the takeover of the Feldmuehle in 2014, he has been renovating and refurbishing the property. It is important to him that the charm of the over 150-year-old Feldmuehle is retained and yet modernity is introduced. This is what makes the Feldmuehle such a unique business park.

The human component is important to Michael, so he always has an open ear for his tenants and also tries to respond to all their wishes. That is why the Feldmuehle is not just an ordinary business park, but a lively, open and warm community of entrepreneurs.

Michael went to the Albertus Magnus Grammar School and then completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer. After a week-long backpacking trip through India, he began his studies at the FH Aachen, which he successfully completed as a civil engineer. This was followed by a interesting time in the construction industry.
